The MBBS student, who was fighting financial constraint to pursue his studies received monetary help of Rs 1 lakh from a woman after his ordeal was telecasted on OTV. 

Hebal Pradhan is pursuing his first year in MBBS at Saheed Laxman Nayak Medical College & Hospital in Koraput. He is a resident of Medubadi village in Daringbadi of Kandhamal district.

Hebal managed to take admission in the medical college by borrowing money and taking a loan. But ran out of money to pursue his studies further. So he urged for financial help, which was telecasted on OTV.

After watching the hardship of Hebal on OTV, Sabitri Nayak, a retired Matron of Police Hospital in Cuttack, extended a helping hand and donated Rs 1 lakh to strengthen the future of Hebal. 

After getting the financial aid, Hebal and his family members expressed their happiness and thanked Nayak for her help. 

“I was facing financial difficulties to pursue my studies. After the telecast on OTV, Sabitri madam donated me Rs 1 lakh.  I will always be grateful to her for helping a needy child like me. Me and my family will always be thankful for this contribution, Hebal said. 

“After the news of my son was published on OTV, we received help from Sabitri Nayak. I thank her from the bottom of my heart. My family will always be grateful for her help. I also thank OTV as it helped us in our hard time. The money will help us to clear the loan, which I took for my son’s education,” said Hebal’s father.
