OTV Cares extends support to family of former employee, offers educational aid to his children
In a heartwarming gesture, OTV Cares, the corporate social responsibility wing of Odisha Television Network, has extended support to the family of a former employee following his untimely demise. Vinod Gauda, a lighting technician who served at Tarang from 2011 to 2024, passed away recently, leaving behind three children.
As a mark of respect for his contribution, OTV Cares has provided a scholarship of Rs 1,95,550 to support the education of his children for the next two academic years. The scholarship cheque was handed over to the principal and chairman of Adarsha Shishu Vidya Mandir, where the children are currently studying.
The cheque was presented by Ranjan Satpathy, Creative Head of OTV Network. This gesture reflects OTV’s ongoing commitment to the welfare of its employees and their families, even after their service ends. The loss of Vinod Gauda has left a void among his colleagues and loved ones, and this scholarship stands as a token of gratitude for his years of dedicated service.
“Vinod was a very dedicated employee; his passing was untimely. OTV Cares has now taken responsibility for the education of his three children. We will try to provide all possible support to Vinod’s family,” assured Satpathy.
“I express my gratitude to OTV for providing scholarships to Vinod’s children to support their education,” said Bhagaban Das, Chairman of Adarsha Shishu Vidya Mandir.
