OSSSC RI, Amin recruitment: Aspirants stage protest in front of Odisha Minister’s residence over ‘irregularities’

Hundreds of aspirants on Thursday staged a protest outside the residence of the State Higher Education Minister Suryabanshi Suraj alleging large-scale irregularities in the recruitment of district cadre posts of Revenue Inspector (RIs), ICDS supervisors, ARI, Amin and SFS conducted by Odisha Sub-ordinate Staff Selection Commission (OSSSC).

The aspirants gathered outside the government quarters of the minister and demanded to conduct the examination in offline mode.

“Several cases of irregularities in the conduct of the examination have surface. Earlier yesterday, one person was also arrested in Boudh. There is no transparency in the examination,” alleged an aspirant.

Echoing the same another said, ”The examination is being conducted at various cybercafés. Everything is fixed who will get the job.”

The prelims written examination for the recruitment began on 20th September and will continue till 20th October. OSSSC is conducting the recruitment drive to fill up a total of 2895 vacant posts.

It is worthwhile to mention here that tension erupted in Nayapalli area in Bhubaneswar after aspirants created a ruckus over the conduct of the examination at a cyber café.
