Candidates at Lower PMG
Scores of candidates who appeared in RI, ICDS supervisors, ARI and Amin examinations conducted by the Odisha Sub-ordinate Staff Selection Commission (OSSSC) on Tuesday staged a demonstration at the Lower PMG Square in Bhubaneswar, demanding the cancellation of examinations.
The agitating candidates alleged the government is sitting idle after changing the chairman of the OSSSC but doing nothing regarding their demand for the cancellation of examinations.
“We have been demanding the cancellation of RI, ICDS supervisors, ARI and Amin examinations. But our demand is falling on deaf ears. With no option left, we have resorted to demonstration. We are marching towards the residence of the Chief Minister. We would like to request the Chief Minister that instead of going out of state, he should listen to students’ grievances,” said an agitating candidate.

Another agitating candidate said, “Our months-long agitation is against corruption and selling of jobs. But the Chief Minister is keeping mum. We wish he should solve our problem.”
The agitating candidates said they are forced to resort to agitation as the government has not taken any decision with respect to their demand as it promised to them.
