The Odisha Staff Selection Commission on Monday announced the date for the Preliminary Examination of Accountant-2022 under ULB, Housing and Urban Development (H&UD) Department.

As per an OSSC notice, the exam will be held on July 30, 2023, through OMR mode in one sitting.

The notification read, “The Commission has decided to conduct the Preliminary Examination on July 30 (Sunday) which was earlier held on April 23 and cancelled on April 24, in one sitting through OMR mode in all district headquarters across the state.”

The detailed schedule/program of the examination will be notified in due course. The Commission requested the concerned candidates to check the website of the Commission www.ossc.gov.in to get any further updates in this regard.

Scores of aspirants, who appeared for the accountant recruitment examination conducted by the OSSC on April 23, alleged massive errors in question papers.

The aspirants blamed the commission for not scrutinizing question papers before conducting the examination. Several aspirants even took to social media platforms and urged OSSC to conduct the examination once again owing to the faulty question papers.

The exams were cancelled by the OSSC the next day through a notification, which read, “Because of substantial errors in printing of Odia version of the questions in Preliminary examination for Accountant under the Housing and Urban Development department, the OSSC has decided to cancel the preliminary examination held on April 23, 2023 (both Odia and English version).”
