The Odisha Civil Services Preliminary Examination 2023 was held on December 15, 2024.
The examination was earlier scheduled for October 27, 2024. However, the examination was postponed due to the Cyclonic Storm Dana that made landfall in Odisha.
Candidates who have successfully cleared the OPSC OCS Prelims 2023 will now prepare for the Mains examination. The Mains exam is a more comprehensive assessment of candidates' knowledge and skills, typically scheduled a few months after the Prelims results. It consists of both objective and descriptive type questions, covering a wide range of subjects relevant to civil services. Following the Mains examination, shortlisted candidates will be called for the interview round. The final selection and merit list will be based on the combined performance in the Mains examination and the interview.
