BJD's meeting ahead of Assembly session
The Opposition BJD on Saturday convened a meeting under the chairmanship of party president Naveen Patnaik. The party chalked out its strategies for the upcoming Assembly session.
The BJD legislators said their focus will be on whether the BJP is keeping its promises made in the election manifesto or not.
Besides sharpening our voices for Odisha’s development, we will discharge whatever responsibilities our leader Naveen Patnaik entrusts on us, the legislators said.

“We will raise those issues on the basis of which they have formed the government. We will see if they are keeping the promises made in their manifesto. We will keep a hawk eye on what the government is doing,” said Pramila Mallik, chief whip of the Opposition party.
Responding to the BJD’s statements, the ruling BJP said they have completed their agenda.
“We have fulfilled many of our promises. It has been decided that Subhadra Yojana will be implemented at the right time. If the Opposition party is making plans to corner us, we are also ready to counter them,” said Prakash Soren, MLA of Baripada.
