‘One whistle is enough to shatter BJD’: BJP MLA Jayanarayan Mishra hits back at Opposition

Launching a scathing attack on Biju Janata Dal (BJD), BJP MLA Jayanarayan Mishra said that one whistle is enough to shatter the conch party.

Commenting on BJD leader and Opposition Chief Whip Pramila Mallik’s claim of BJD’s record-breaking win if an election is conducted today, the Sambalpur BJP MLA dared the conch party to win in 40 seats.

Speaking to the media in Bhubaneswar, Mishra said, “One whistle of Amit Shah is enough to dismantle BJD. She (Pramila Mallik) should focus on taking care of the party which is on the verge of collapse.”

“Two Rajya Sabha MPs have joined BJP and there is infighting among the BJD workers at district level,” Mishra added.

Reacting to BJD’s allegation over delay in implementation of Ayushman Bharat Yojana in Odisha, the Sambalpur MLA said, “The BJD knows nothing. As the scheme is centrally sponsored, the modalities will be implemented by the centre.”

It is worthwhile to mention here that Opposition Chief Whip Pramila Mallik had earlier claimed that the 'BJD will win on at least 140 seats if elections are held today'.

No comments from the BJD could be obtained over Jayanarayan Mishra’s remark.
