Training programme for Official work in Odia language
To ensure proficiency in doing the official govt work in Odia language training for the government officers and employees started at Sanskruti Bhawan in Bhubaneswar on Monday.
After assuming charge of the CMO on the third floor of the Secretariat building, Chief Minister Mohan Majhi said that all official work shall be done in Odia language.
The day is not far away when all the government officers and employees will be doing office work in Odia language as training for them has started at the Sanskruti Bhawan. Starting from ASO, SO, and desk officers to under secretaries, all are receiving the training, which is being provided under the aegis of Odia Bhasha Pratisthan under the Odia Language, Literature and Culture Department.
The training is being imparted by eminent linguistics and litterateurs. The training is on how the officials can suitably use the professional language and the dictionary.

The training will continue for the next five days.
“They are being trained on how they can write something in Odia without using any English word and without affecting its meaning,” said Odia Language, Literature and Culture Minister Suryabanshi Suraj.
“Retired as well as working professors have been roped in as resource persons. They will give training to officers in this five-day-long workshop,” said Culture Department Director Dilip Routray.
Informing about the ongoing training programme, trainer Kailash Chandra Tikayatray, who is an eminent linguist, said, “The training is enabling them to prepare mentally to live in their own language and culture.”
