Odisha Vigilance raids property of Principal Scientific Officer of drug testing lab

Odisha Vigilance on Wednesday launched simultaneous raids at multiple locations associated with Debasis Panda, Principal Scientific Officer of the State Drugs Testing Laboratory, Sambalpur, over allegations of possessing disproportionate assets.

Acting on warrants issued by the Special Judge, Vigilance, Sambalpur, the anti-corruption agency carried out searches at seven locations spread across Bhubaneswar, Sambalpur, and Berhampur. The operation was led by four Deputy Superintendents of Police (DSPs), ten Inspectors, four Assistant Sub-Inspectors (ASIs), and other supporting personnel.

According to Vigilance officials, the searches are part of an investigation into Panda’s alleged accumulation of assets beyond his known sources of income.

• Paternal house at Nabhi Colony, Church Road

Vigilance officials confirmed that the searches are currently underway. Details regarding seizure of assets, documents, or valuables are awaited. Further updates will follow as the investigation progresses.
