Odisha Vigilance raids Motor Vehicle Inspector's property over DA allegations in Boudh and Bhubaneswar
Odisha Vigilance launched simultaneous raids at six locations linked to Golap Chandra Hansdah, Motor Vehicle Inspector (MVI), Boudh on Sunday, in connection with allegations of possession of disproportionate assets (DA) beyond his known sources of income.
Acting on search warrants issued by the Special Judge, Vigilance, Baripada, multiple teams led by four DSPs, seven Inspectors, and other supporting personnel conducted the coordinated searches across Baripada, Boudh, and Bhubaneswar.
Sources said the Vigilance teams are scanning property documents, bank accounts, investment records, and other valuables to assess the extent of assets allegedly amassed unlawfully.
Electronic devices and personal records are also being examined during the operation.
The searches were still underway at the time of reporting. A detailed assessment and official statement from the Vigilance Directorate are expected following completion of the proceedings.
This action comes as part of the Odisha government’s ongoing crackdown on corruption and unaccounted wealth among public servants.
