Odisha Vigilance on Friday apprehended Satya Priya Nayak, Senior Revenue Assistant (SRA) of Athamallik Tehsil Office in Angul while accepting a bribe of Rs 20,000 from a complainant for processing a land partition application.

According to Vigilance sources, the complainant and his family had been requesting Nayak to initiate the partition of paternal land and issue separate Records of Rights (RORs) among the heirs. However, Nayak allegedly refused to process the application without a bribe. Upon facing persistent demands, the complainant approached the Vigilance department, leading to a trap operation.
