In the coming days, as many as 12 new Kendriya Vidyalayas will be set up in different districts, said Higher Education Minister Suryabanshi Suraj in the Odisha Assembly on Thursday.
Informing the House, the Minister said his 79-day-old government has given UGC recognition to Khalikote University. In 18 blocks in remote areas, the state govt has set up colleges and there are also plans to provide free coaching for Civil Services examination.

We will strengthen the infrastructure of government universities spending Rs 180 crore, he said adding 1500 lecturers will also be appointed, he said.
The Minister informed the House that 12 new Kendriya Vidyalayas will be opened in different districts of the state in the coming days and the govt will return University autonomy.
