The Ravenshaw University in Cuttack added another feather to its cap after bagging the coveted A++ grade from the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC), an autonomous body functioning under the University Grants Commission.

This is an affirmation of quality education and research activities at the state’s old and reputed educational institution.

As per reports, the members of the NAAC committee conducted an assessment of the university’s infrastructure, faculties, and other facilities between November 20 and 22, 2023.

The NAAC members held an assessment on seven parameters such as curricular aspects; teaching-learning and evaluation; research, innovations, and extension; infrastructure and learning resources; student support and progression; governance, leadership and management, and institutional values and best practices.

The NAAC has awarded a total criterion-wise weightage grade point (CrWGP) of 3,582 out of 1000 weightage, sources said.

Minutes after the news broke; students of the university in large numbers gathered on the campus and celebrated the achievement.

Students expressed their immense joy over this. One of the girl students said, “We are proud of our institution. A++ status accorded by the NAAC is not an overnight result but the fruits of a long journey marked by sustained efforts of the students and faculties.”
