The Council Of Higher Secondary Education (CHSE) in Odisha on Monday announced to publish the results of +2 Science and Commerce streams by May 31.

Informing about the development, the Examination Controller of the CHSE said, “We couldn't complete all formalities today. These will be completed by tomorrow. And we will publish results of Commerce and Science by 31st May 2023 positively.”

“Please bear with us for a few more hours or one day at best,” said the CHSE.

It is pertinent to mention here that the Plus-2 exams concluded on April 5 and the CHSE assured to publish the results within 45 days. However, the delay in results had stoked resentment among students and parents.

A student leader, Abhilash Panda said, "It seems education as a department has taken the back seat in Odisha's governance.Only the psychiatrists and the parents can understand the enormous stress students go through untill the announcement of results. It is evident in delay of result declaration by the CHSE authorities."

“This is a regular occurrence with the CHSE. At a time when students of CBSE and ICSE are already preparaing to take admissions in various colleges with their marks, students of Odisha are still awaiting result. There is a fundamental problem with the CHSE, that is why they are delaying every year,” said Krushnachandra Pati, President of Utkal Parents’ Assiciation.
