In a bid to make Artificial Intelligence (AI) reach the students and common man in Odisha, the State government has planned to launch a programme named Artificial Intelligence For Youth.

The government has recently signed an agreement with Intel India to jointly develop the programme and all its modules.

Speaking about the initiative, Odisha IT Minister Tushar Kanti Behera said, “Technology is a major component of 5T in Odisha. Almost all the departments of the government are developing their applications with the help of AI.”

It is necessary to adopt AI as soon as possible to increase the productivity of the departments. The head of Intel India has signed an agreement with us in the presence of Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik. AI-driven chatbots are already integrated in the government websites,” said Behera.

“So far, AI is only being used by technology-savvy persons. Our aim is to make this technology available even to people who are left behind,” he said.

“Artificial Intelligence for Youth has several modules. From students to employees and businessmen, the modules will help everybody who is holding a smartphone. It will definitely help people boost their productivity,” he added.
