Odisha man sets example by donating eyes of son after his death

It is every parent's dream to see his/her child gets a good education and become a good human being. But all dreams get shattered due to the untimely death of children which causes numerous pain and suffering for the entire family. However, a man has set an example by donating the eyes of his son who recently died at a private hospital in Bhubaneswar.

It was certainly a tough time for Harischandra Goud of Rayagada district who lost his son Debashish. Debasish was studying engineering at a private college in Bhubaneswar. The exact reason behind his death is unclear.

On getting information regarding the tragic demise of his son, Harischandra rushed to Bhubaneswar.

After gathering immense courage to come to terms with the reality, Harischandra took a decision to donate the eyes of his son.

“I only wanted to ensure that someone else sees the world through my son’s eyes,” said Harishchandra.

The decision of Harishchandra to come forward for eye donation has been praised by all.
