Odisha is symbol of originality and optimism in new Bharat: PM Modi in Utkarsh Odisha Conclave 2025 

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday inaugurated the much-awaited Utkarsh Odisha – Make in Odisha Conclave 2025 in Bhubaneswar. The flagship Global Investment Summit, being hosted by the Government of Odisha, aims at positioning the state as the anchor of the Purvodaya vision as well as a leading investment destination and industrial hub in India.

While addressing the Utkarsh Odisha Conclave, PM Modi said that it was his second visit to Odisha in 2025. “I am told that this Utkarsh Odisha is the biggest business summit so far in the state. Five to six times more investors are participating. I congratulate the people of the state and Odisha government for this grand event,” said Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

According to PM Modi, ‘Purvi Bharat’ is the growth engine of India and Odisha has a major role in it. 

“When India had a major role in global growth, the eastern part played a key role as there were major industrial and trade hubs. Odisha had also a great role as it was the prime centre for trade in south-east Asia. The ancient ports of the state were the gateway for India. Today also, the Bali Yatra festival is being organised every year. Indonesian President recently said that there is Odisha in his DNA,” said PM Modi.

Odisha is Going to Revive the Golden Heritage: PM Modi

Odisha is celebrating the legacy that connects with South-east Asia. In the 21st century, Odisha is going to revive that golden heritage. Recently, Singapore President visited Odisha and a lot of MoUs were signed. ASEAN countries have also shown interest in strengthening ties with Odisha. A lot of new opportunities are opening up which had never happened since Independence, said PM Modi.

'Odisha People Have Tremendous Enthusiasm to Outperform'

According to PM Modi, Odisha is also representing that aspiration. “Odisha is outstanding, Odisha is symbol of optimism and originality in new Bharat. There are opportunities in the state and the people have shown tremendous enthusiasm to outperform. In Gujarat, I have seen the honesty and integrity of people coming from Odisha. When new opportunities are created in Odisha, the state will achieve and reach that peak which others have not dreamt of,” the PM added.
