Odisha Home guard recruitment: Aspirant dies during physical test in Khordha
In a heartbreaking incident, a job aspirant lost his life during a physical test conducted for Home Guard recruitment in Khordha district on Friday. The deceased has been identified as Amadul Haque, a 40-year-old resident of Keranga area in the district. He had come to the Tartutua Reserve Ground to take part in the physical fitness test as part of the recruitment process.
According to eyewitnesses, Amadul suddenly collapsed while running. He reportedly fell unconscious and appeared unwell. Immediate assistance was provided, and he was rushed to a private hospital in Bhubaneswar. However, doctors declared him dead upon arrival.
Sources said Amadul was hopeful of securing the job and had been preparing for the test. His sudden death has left fellow candidates and family members in deep shock.
The incident has raised concerns over the lack of adequate medical facilities at recruitment venues. Authorities are yet to comment on the matter, but a post-mortem will be conducted to ascertain the exact cause of death.
