Odisha hikes ex-gratia amount for state govt employees in case of death on duty

The amount of ex-gratia in case of death of employees while performing their duties has been increased from Rs 4 lakh to Rs 10 lakh.

The Odisha government, on Wednesday, approved a substantial enhancement of ex-gratia amount provided to the family members of the State government employees, who die while discharging duty.

As per the statement issued by the Chief Minister’s office, the amount of ex-gratia in case of death of employees while performing their duties has been increased from Rs 4 lakh to Rs 10 lakh.

Similarly, the amount of ex-gratia in case of permanent disability due to injury has been increased from Rs 2 lakh to Rs 5 lakh. In case of partial disability, the amount of assistance has been increased from Rs 1 lakh to Rs 2 lakh.
