Odisha govt writes to 4 district Collectors for upgradation of NACs into municipalities

The district Collectors of four districts namely Ganjam, Boudh, Mayurbhanj and Bolangir have been asked to furnish details regarding the upgradation of their NACs into municipalities. 

The Housing & Urban Development Department has written letters to the Collectors of Ganjam, Boudh, Mayurbhanj and Bolangir districts to submit the required information with respect to upgrading their NACs into municipalities.

“…I am directed to say that the information as called for therein has not yet been received by this Department. Due to non-receipt of required information, no further steps have been taken in the matter,” read the letter.

“You are, therefore, once again requested to take immediate steps to furnish the required information to this Department so as to take follow-up action as per the provisions of the Odisha Municipal Act, 1950 and the existing policy framework,” it added.
