Odisha Govt promotes 3 IPS officers to Police DG rank

Odisha government on Wednesday promoted three IPS officers to Director General (DG) of Police rank.

The officers are Arun Sarangi, Sudhanshu Sarangi, and YB Khurania, all from the 1990 batch.

The General Administration & Public Grievance Department of the Odisha government issued a notification announcing the promotions.

While Arun Sarangi is currently posted as the ADGP and Director of Biju Patnaik State Police Academy, Sudhanshu Sarangi is currently serving as Chairman-cum-Managing Director at Odisha State Police Housing and Welfare Corporation (OSPH & WC) Limited, Bhubaneswar.

Similarly, Yogesh Bahadur Khurania, who is on Central Deputation, has been allowed pro forma promotion to the grade of DG of Police in IPS in Level 16 of the pay matrix.
