Pradeep Pattanayak

Gopalpur MLA Pradeep Panigarhi on Saturday sharpened his attack on the BJD-ruling dispensation, saying Odisha will see a fresh government in the coming elections.

Panigrahi, who has been expelled from the BJD, said this while he along with Akash Pathak and Abhay Pathak deposed before the Fast Track court in Berhampur on Saturday.

“I think the government is retired and headed by retired people. The CM's office is headed by retired people and most of the offices are headed by retired people. So the government is now in a retiring state. So a fresh government is necessary,” said Panigrahi.

Informing about the case against the legislator, Panigrahi’s advocate Deepak Pattanayak said, “The court today framed charges against Pradeep Panigrahi, Akash Pathak, and Abhay Pathak in one of the four cases.”

The Gopalpur MLA has been vituperative against Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik and 5T Chairman VK Pandian since he was expelled from the party.

During the Monsoon session, he was allegedly not allowed to speak in the Assembly for which he staged a dharana below the podium in the House.
