Odisha Govt carries out major IAS reshuffle; new roles for Bishnupada Sethi, Bhaskar Jyoti Sarma

The Odisha Government on Sunday effected a major reshuffle in the IAS cadre. As per the notification issued by the General Administration and Public Grievance Department, OSD GA & PG Department, Bishnupada Sethi is appointed as the Principal Secretary to the government, Social Security and Empowerment of Persons With Disabilities Department.

Special Secretary Planning and Convergence Department, Bhaskar Jyoti Sarma has been appointed as Commissioner of Land Records & Settlement, Cuttack.  As per the latest notification, the post of Commissioner Land Records & Settlement has been declared equivalent in status and responsibility to the post of secretary provided in the IAS cadre in the state.

B. Parameswaran, Director-cum-additional secretary, Drinking Water & Sanitation with an additional charge of SPD, OHEPEE has been appointed as Commissioner, Consolidation.

Similarly,  Ramashish Hazra, Director AH & VS is allowed to remain in additional charge of President, Board of Secondary Education (BSE), Odisha.

Jyoti Prakash Das has been appointed Director,  Special Project, PR&DW department.  He has been allowed to remain in additional charge of Director, ROTI.

Special Project, PR&DW department is now appointed Director-cum-Additional Secretary, Drinking Water & Sanitation, PR&DW department. Indramani Tripathy, who is posted as Additional Secretary of ST & SC Development, M&BCW department is appointed as Director ST. He is allowed to remain in additional charge of ST & SC Development, M&BCW department, and Director, SC&STRTI.

Subrata Satapathy, Financial Advisor, Board of Revenue is allowed to remain in additional charge of Inspector General of Registration, Odisha.
