Odisha govt appoints Dr Lalit Das as OSSSC chairman

The Odisha government has appointed Dr Lalit Das, a retired IPS officer, as the Chairman of the Odisha Subordinate Staff Selection Commission (OSSSC).

Retired IPS officer Dr Lalit Das has been appointed as the Chairman of the Odisha Subordinate Staff Selection Commission (OSSSC). 

Besides, retired IAS officer Dr. Uddhaba Chandra Majhi and retired OAS officer Saroj Kumar Mishra have been appointed as Members of the OSSSC.

Worth mentioning, the OSSSC has been drawing flak over the alleged paper leak and irregularities in the recently concluded computer-based recruitment examination of CRE-II of 2024 exam for LI/Forester/Forest Guard and CRE-IV of 2024 exam for RI/ARI/Amin/ICDS Supervisors/SFSs RI/ARI/Amin/ICDS Supervisors/SFSs.

The aspirants had alleged that there were large-scale irregularities in the examinations. 

They even sought the intervention of President Droupadi Murmu. Dozens of aspirants on October 19 flocked to a post office in Cuttack and posted letters addressed to the President.
