Odisha girl Shraavya Mishra shines at iNSPIRE MANAK National Exhibition

Shraavya Mishra, a student of Kendriya Vidyalaya 2, CRPF Campus in Bhubaneswar, earned recognition at the 11th National Level Exhibition and Project Competition (NLEPC) under the INSPIRE-MANAK scheme. Her app, I-SRAVIA, converts sign language into text and voice using camera image processing. The exhibition held at ITPO, New Delhi featured over 360 students. Shraavya was honoured at Vigyan Bhawan on September 19, 2024.

Shraavya Mishra, a student of Kendriya Vidyalaya 2, CRPF Campus in Bhubaneswar, made waves at the 11th National Level Exhibition and Project Competition (NLEPC) under the INSPIRE–MANAK scheme. 

I-SRAVIA developed by Shraavya earned her significant recognition at the event. Her innovative app aims to bridge communication gaps between the deaf and mute communities and the wider world.

I-SRAVIA app uses camera image processing to convert sign language into text and voice, enabling effective two-way communication. 

The exhibition held at ITPO, New Delhi had over 360 students taking part in the competition showcasing their innovations that tackle societal challenges.

The NLEPC highlighted the diversity of innovations representing geographical balance and aligning with India’s vision for a sustainable future.

Shraavya was one of 31 students selected for the project competition and was honoured at Vigyan Bhawan, New Delhi, on September 19, 2024.
Shraavya’s app received widespread acclaim at various levels—school, district, zone, state, and national.

Shraavya aims to continue developing impactful, socially relevant technologies.
