Odisha Fire Dept prepares for trouble-free Diwali in Bhubaneswar-Cuttack

Odisha Fire Dept enhances safety in Cuttack and Bhubaneswar for Diwali with seven extra fire stations.

The Fire Services Department has made elaborate arrangements in the twin cities of Cuttack and Bhubaneswar to tackle any emergency situation during Diwali celebration. 

In addition to the existing fire stations, as many as seven additional fire stations will function in the twin city. Of them, four will be set up in Cuttack and three in Bhubaneswar. 

As per the preparations, fire officers will move around the clusters in Cuttack and Bhubaneswar. Services will be provided as soon as a call is received on 112. And most importantly, fire will be extinguished within the golden hour.

Informing about the arrangements, chief fire officer Debendra Kumar Swain said, “The Central, Northern and Southern ranges have been directed to be on toes and ensure the festival of light passes off without any mishap.”
