Ritesh Agarwal, the founder and group CEO of OYO Rooms, is all set to tie the knot in March this year. The young billionaire from Odisha's Rayagada district recently met Prime Minister Narendra Modi to seek his blessings for the 'new beginning'.

Taking to Twitter, Agarwal (29) shared pictures of meeting PM Modi at the latter's residence with his mother and his fiance. In one of the pictures, the couple was seen touching the PM Modi's feet to seek his blessings for a 'new beginning'.

"With the blessings of Pradhan Mantri @narendramodi ji, we are all set for a new beginning. Words cannot express the warmth with which he received us," Agarwal wrote.

He further wrote: "My mother, who is inspired by his vision for women empowerment & Geet, from Express (Uttar) Pradesh, were heartened to meet him. Thank you for sparing your valuable time & for your good wishes."

In another tweet, he said, "Committed to enabling the growth of tourism and entrepreneurship in India across Rayagada, Gir, Ladakh, Rameswaram, Meghalaya and more!."

As per sources, Agarwal's wedding reception will be held at a five-star hotel in New Delhi.

Agarwal, who was born into a Marwari family in Bissam Cuttack in Rayagada, founded OYO Rooms, an online aggregator of budget hotel rooms, at the age of 19 years. 

His net worth in 2020 was estimated to be approximately $1.1 billion (Rs 7253 crore) according to Hurun Rich List 2020. As of February 2020, he is the youngest self-made billionaire in the world.
