Odisha effects major IPS reshuffle; Sambalpur SP B Gangadhar transferred to Mayurbhanj

The Odisha government on Thursday effected a major reshuffle at IPS level with 18 officers getting transfers. As per a government notification, AM Prasad (RR-1989) who is currently awaiting posting on repatriation from Central deputation has been posted as the Special DGP of Human Rights Protection Cell (HRPC). Sudhansu Sarangi (IPS RR-1990) currently posted as Special DG of Police Railways & Coastal Security has been transferred as DG of Fire Services (FS) and CG. Home Guard (HG) & Director Civil Defence (CD).

RK Sharma (IPS RR-1995), Additional DGP Law & Order (L&O), has been transferred as Additional DGP Headquarters. Sanjay Kumar (IPS RR-1997), who is currently posted as Additional DGP (Modernisation) has been appointed Additional DGP Operations.

Amitabh Thakur (IPS RR-1998), Additional DGP Operations has been made the Transport Commissioner. Suresh Dev Datta Singh, (IPS RR-1998) has been made ADGP Operations while Dayal Gangwar, (IPS RR-1998) has been given charge as ADGP Railways and Coastal Security.

Rajesh Kumar (IPS RR-1998), the Additional DGP of State Forensic Science Laboratory (SFSL) has been made ADGP Modernisation. Narasingha Bhola (IPS RR 2002) who is currently posted as IGP, Central Range (CR), Cuttack will replace Ashish Singh as Excise Commissioner. Singh will take charge of IGP, CR, Cuttack, and IGP SFSL.

DIGP, South West Region (SWR), Koraput, Rajesh Pandit (IPS RR 2007) has been transferred as DIGP, Fire services (FS) & Home Guard (HG). Akhileswar Singh has been named DIGP, SIW.

CS Meena who is currently serving as DIGP FS & HG has been transferred as DIGP, SWR, Koraput. Keonjhar SP Mitrabhanu Mahapatra has been made Rourkela SP.

Sambalpur SP, B Gangadhar has been transferred to Mayurbhanj. Rourkela SP Mukesh Kumar Bhamoo will be the new Sambalpur SP. Bolangir SP Kusalkar Nitin Dagdu has been transferred to Keonjhar and Rishikesh Khilari has been named as SP Mayurbhanj.
