Odisha Deputy CM’s escort van hits 2 school students
In an unfortunate incident, as many as two children were injured as the escort police van of Odisha Deputy Chief Minister Pravati Parida hit two students in the Sorisiapada area under the Gop block of Puri district on Wednesday.
Both the students sustained injuries in the accident. They were immediately admitted to the Gop Community Health Center for treatment. Later one girl student was shifted to a private hospital in Bhubaneswar as her condition became critical.
As per reports, Parida had come to her constituency Nimapara to attend a programme. However, her police escort van hit two school students at Sorisiapada. Subsequently, local residents admitted both the injured students into Gop Community Health Centre for treatment immediately.
“We don’t know exactly which vehicle hit both the students. However, we immediately rushed them to the nearby medical,” said a local resident.
Later, Parida met both the students at the hospital.
“By God’s grace, both the students are stable now. I have sent one of them to SUM Hospital for advanced treatment,” said Deputy CM Parida.
