Odisha CM hearing public grievances
Chief Minister Mohan Majhi held a session where he heard the grievances of the people after a brief hiatus, on Monday, which was held at the Chief Minister's Grievance Cell.
After reaching the Cell, the CM went to about 30 differently-abled persons gathered and heard their grievances. He asked officers concerned for the redressal.
About 1,000 persons had registered their grievances at the portal of the cell.
Health Minister Mukesh Mahaling, Food Supplies and Consumer Welfare Minister Krushna Chandra Patra, Cooperation Minister Pradip Balsamant, Forest Minister Ganesh Ram Sing Khuntia and Rural Development Minister Rabi Narayan Naik along with the Department Secretaries also heard the grievances.
“Despite running from pillar to post, the previous government did not pay any heed to my grievances. I gave a number of applications. However, the current CM assured me of resolving my issues,” a differently-abled youth said to OTV.
“I lost my legs after which they were amputated. I had applied for a transfer to my native place in Baripada town, but it was not done. I am not getting my salary and facing difficulties. The CM assured me to look into it,” another differently-abled man stated.
Worth mentioning, the hearing of public grievances on October 28 was cancelled due to the cyclonic storm ‘Dana’.
