Odisha CM has been put under house arrest by 5T secretary VK Pandian: Former MP Laxman Tudu

Former Member of Parliament (MP) Laxman Tudu launched a broadside against 5T secretary VK Pandian on Thursday. The senior BJP leader alleged that Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik has been put under house arrest by Pandian.

“Taking advantage of the simplicity, age and health condition of Naveen Patnaik, he (VK Pandian) has kept him (Odisha CM) under house arrest,” Tudu alleged.

He further alleged that the 5T secretary is lying that the CM is sending him (5T secretary) to visit different parts of the state. 

Intensifying his attack on the Odisha-cadre IAS officer, Tudu went on to allege that another midnight operation will be carried out in the coming days as the 5T secretary is aspiring to become the chief minister of Odisha.

Addressing newsmen in Baripada, Tudu questioned, “When the CM is able to visit Mumbai and even Dubai, how can it be possible that he is unable to attend programmes across the state?”

The saffron party leader even claimed that ‘VK Pandian looted mine resources in Mayurbhanj during his tenure as sub-collector; and, he is now allegedly auctioning the collector position of the same district’. 

Tamil rule prevails in Odisha now and the state is being looted by them, Tudu alleged.

Responding to the allegations of Tudu, BJD MLA Raj Kishore Das said that the BJP leader’s statement is like a mad man’s talk. “The 5T secretary is also the private secretary of the chief minister and hence, he (Pandian) is working as per the direction of the CM. So, where’s the deviation that he (Tudu) is asking such questions,” asked Das.

The BJD leader further said that Tudu should bring decency to his statements and restrain himself from giving any such remark that belittles his image as a political leader.
