Odisha Class 10 student dies after falling sick during Matric exam

In a tragic incident, a Class 10 boy student died shortly after collapsing while appearing in the ongoing Matric examination at a centre in Damanjodi in Koraput district on Thursday.

The deceased has been identified as Kuna Pujari.

As per reports, Kuna reached Saraswati Sishu Vidya Mandir at Damanjodi with his father in the morning to appear in the examination for Science paper. After entering the examination hall, he was provided with the question paper and answer sheet by the invigilators in the centre. 

However, while writing, the student fainted. Following the first aid, he was rushed to a nearby hospital. However, doctors declared him brought dead.

A pal of gloom descended over the area following the death of the student. His parents and family members reached the hospital immediately and were crestfallen over the loss.

Upon being informed, Damanjodi police reached the spot and started an investigation into the incident. An unnatural death case has been registered at the police station in this connection.

As per family sources, Kuna had been suffering from some ailments and as per the symptoms of the disease, he has also lost his sense on two-three occasions in the past. Further investigation into the incident is underway.
