In a show of utter devotion for Lord Ram and Lord Hanuman, a carpenter from Kanteikoli village under Ganjam’s Hinjilicut block carved the entire Hanuman Chalisha on wood and presented it to Lord Ram Lalla at Ayodhya.

The artist, Arun Sahu made it by engraving Hanuman Chalisa on a 6-ft long wooden plank. He was invited by the Ram Mandir Trust a few days back.

Speaking about the Hanuman Chalisa, he said, “I am very happy today that I got the opportunity of meeting CM Yogi Adityanath in person. I had made a picture of him on wood too. I gifted him that. He was quite happy to see the wooden portrait and praised the artists of Odisha.”

“He (Sahu) has come from Odisha and offered his creation at the feet of Lord Ram. I thank him for his efforts and assured him to honour his offering appropriately,” said Ayodhya Ram Mandir Trust member, Anil Mishra.

The consecration (Pran Pratishtha) ceremony of Ram Mandir was held in Ayodhya on January 22. The event was organised by Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra. Prime Minister Narendra Modi led the 'Pran Pratishtha' rituals.
