The Board of Secondary Education (BSE), Odisha on Thursday announced the much-awaited results of the annual high school certificate (HSC) or Matriculation examination. The overall pass percentage this year stands at 96.40% compared to 90.55% last year.

Odisha School and Mass Education Minister Pramila Mallik released the results in the presence of BSE President Ramashish Hazra and Commissioner-Cum-Secretary IAS S Aswathy.

This year, girls have outshined boys in the examination. The pass percentage of girl students stands at 97.05% while 95.75% boy students passed the exam. As many as 4158 students got A1, 29838 (A2), 77567 (B1) and 118750 students accorded (B2), informed Minister Pramila Mallik.

At least 1904 boys have scored over 90% and above while 2254 girls have scored above 90%. Similarly, among SC candidates, the pass percentage of boys is 93.36% while SC girls once again outshined the boys with 95.08%.

Furthermore, among ST candidates, the pass percentage of boys stands at 92.75% while the pass percentage of girls is 95.66%.  

As many as 3,222 schools have registered cent percent results. Cuttack and Jagatsinghpur districts registered the highest pass percentage of 97.99 in the state. On the other hand, the tribal-dominated Malkangiri district reported the lowest pass percentage of 92.68% in the state.

Students who appeared in the examination can check their results by visiting the official website, www.bseodisha.ac.in from 12pm onwards. Students can login to the orissaresults.nic.in website to check their results using their roll number and date of birth. Students can also download their scoreboards from the website.

Students can also access their examination results through SMS. To know your results through SMS, students need to type OR10 Roll Number and send the SMS to 5676750.

Moreover, the students can register their grievances with the controller of the exam within one month of the publication of the results if they find any issue with their results.

The Board has also set up a control room for the students that will be made operational for seven days. The control room number is 0671-2415460.

It is worth mentioning here that the annual High School Certificate (HSC) Summative Assessment-II examination 2023 was conducted from March 10 to 20. As many as 5.32 lakh students appeared in the Matriculation or the Class 10 high school certificate examination in 3,218 examination centers across the state.
