Odisha Ayurvedic college principal in Vigilance net: Cash, plots to vehicles, check what all Viz sleuths seized

Odisha Vigilance officials on Thursday raided multiple places including residences and office of the Principal of Bolangir Government Ayurvedic College and Hospital in connection with the allegation regarding possession of assets disproportionate to his known sources of income. 

The Principal has been identified as Professor Sudarshan Behera. 

As per reports, Vigilance sleuths carried out multiple simultaneous raids at Behera’s residences and offices in Sakhigopal, Puri, Gop and Bolangir. Moreover, raids are also going on at CRPF campus in Sambalpur where Behera’s wife is residing.

As per the latest report, three multi-storeyed buildings, 16 plots in prime area of puri district, deposits of Rs 50 lakhs, three costly four wheelers, along with other assets were unearthed during the search operation. Further details are awaited.

During house searches so far, as per sources, these following assets have been unearthed in the name of Behera and his family members:

1)    One G+3 residential building located at Sakhigopal block chhak, PS-Satyabadi, Puri.

2)    One double storeyed building located at Sriramchandrapur, Satyabadi, Puri.

3)    One building over plot No.1723/588, Khata No.1733/345 at Sorisiapada, Gop, Puri.

4)    16 plots in prime area of Gop, Pipili, Satyabadi of Puri district. Details as under;

i)    A piece of land measuring an area of Ac 0.04 dec. vide Khata No-66 and Plot No-553, Mauza-Bharatipr, Puri.

ii)    A piece of land measuring an area of 4.5 dec. vide Khata No-314 and Plot No-1683, Mauza-Chhaitana, Puri.

iii)    A piece of land measuring an area of Ac 0.01333 dec. vide Khata No-26 and Plot No-31, Mauza-Sanagaon, Pipili, Puri.

iv)    A piece of land measuring an area of Ac 0.23 dec. vide Khata No-282 and Plot No-1170, Mauza- Chhaitana, Puri.

v)    A piece of land measuring an area of Ac 0.26 dec. vide Khata No-324 and Plot No-410, Mauza- Jaypur, Sakhigopal, Puri.

vi)    A piece of land measuring an area of Ac 0.26 dec. vide Khata No-366/34 and Plot No-411, Mauza- Jaypur, Sakhigopal, Puri.

vii)    A piece of land measuring an area of Ac 0.0005 dec. vide Khata No-33/601 and Plot No-73/852, Mauza- Kasiharipur, Puri.

viii)    A piece of land measuring an area of Ac 0.22 dec. vide Khata No-1176 and Plot No-1304, Mauza- Biragovindpur, Satyabadi, Puri.

ix)    A piece of land measuring an area of Ac 0.01 dec. vide Khata No-342 and Plot No-644, Mauza- Jaypur, Satyabadi, Puri.

x)    A piece of land measuring an area of Ac 0.03 dec. vide Khata No-342 and Plot No-644, Mauza- Jaypur, Satyabadi, Puri.

xiv)    A piece of land measuring an area of Ac 0.24 dec. vide Khata No-1795/99 and Plot No-370, Mauza- Sriramchandrapur, Satyabadi, Puri.

xv)    A piece of land vide Khata No-1733/345 and Plot No-1733, Mauza- Samili, Sorisiapada, Gop, Puri.

xvi)    A piece of land vide Khata No-14 and Plot No-1795/41, Mauza- Sriramchandrapur, Satyabadi, Puri.
The measurement and valuation/assessment of the above buildings/plots is being carried out by Vigilance Technical Wing.

5)    Bank deposits Rs 50 lakhs.

6)    Three four wheelers (Honda City 5th Gen ZX, Mahindra Scorpio & Toyota ETIOS Cross-G) and one two wheeler worth over Rs.32 lakhs.

7)    Postal, Insurance and other deposits are under verification.
