Odia tribal art exhibition inaugurated in Chennai, draws huge footfalls
A tribal art exhibition has been inaugurated at Cholamandal Artists’ Village in Chennai recently, showcasing the artworks of tribal artists from Odisha.
The exhibition, inaugurated by the Culture Minister of Odisha, Ashwini Patra, has been the centre of attraction for art lovers in the city. The creative artworks of 25 artists from different districts of Odisha are on display. In their paintings, the artists have given shape to their imagination while incorporating their unique style.
The artworks have provided a unique opportunity for visitors to explore the various tribal art forms of Odisha.
“This is an art exhibition of the tribal artists of Odisha. They have come here from various districts for an exposure visit. The exhibition brings an opportunity for the people here to know how the tribal artists of Odisha are trained and about their culture and social functions,” said Minister Patra.
The exhibition is being organised jointly by the Odisha Lalit Kala Akademi and the Culture Department of the Odisha government. It will continue till July 20.
