Glimpses of Odia language, culture and ‘asmita’ (identity) were in display during the BJP’s two-day-long state executive committee meeting in Puri starting Friday.

The saffron party has put up pictures of Odia freedom fighters, heroes and poets at the meeting place. Konark Wheel and Neelachakra of Puri have also been kept on the dais. The glorious history of Odisha, ancient temples and famous arts of the State have also been depicted at the meeting place. Moreover, detailed information about various development schemes of the Narendra Modi government has been put up on the spot.

“It’s a crucial executive committee meeting. There will be discussions on several crucial matters. BJP National President JP Nadda will also attend the meeting,” said Odisha BJP president Manmohan Samal.

“The meeting will continue for two days. The meeting will be held to have proper coordination in the government. The government will fulfill all its promises and effort is being made in this direction. You have already seen the governance of BJP in the last one month. Ratna Bhandar has been opened, all the four doors of Srimandir have been opened, we will be implementing Subhadra Yojna, we are going to provide Rs 3,100 per quintal as the Minimum Support Price of paddy,” said Odisha BJP in-charge, Vijaypal Singh Tomar.

Till the last report came in, BJP National President JP Nadda had already arrived in Bhubaneswar and was on his way to Puri to attend the meeting.
