OBCC Additional Chief Engineer Pradeep Kumar Rath in Vigilance net; raids on at 12 places

Vigilance sleuths on Tuesday conducted simultaneous raids at 12 places associated with Pradeep Kumar Rath, Additional Chief Engineer, Odisha Bridge and Construction Corporation (OBCC), R & B Cuttack Circle, on charges of amassing properties disproportionate to his known sources of income.

According to sources, several teams of the anti-corruption agency raided the properties of Rath and his relatives located in Bhubaneswar, Bhadrak, Cuttack, Jajpur, and Khordha.

The Vigilance team comprising nine DSPs, 11 Inspectors, and other supporting staff conducted searches on the strength of search warrants issued by Special Judge, Vigilance, Cuttack, sources informed, adding that the team has laid its hands on some important documents during the search.

Till the last report came in, search operations were underway.

1. Residential house of Rath located at Satya Vihar, Pandara,  Rasulgarh, Unit- 38,  Bhubaneswar
2. Apartment of Rath located at Oyster Apartment, Chandrasekharpur, Bhubaneswar 
3. Double storeyed building of Rath located at Jagannathpur (Acharya Nagar), Bhadrak town 
4. Office room of Rath, located at the O/o Chief Construction Engineer R & B Circle, Barabati Stadium, Cuttack
5. Paternal house located at Purusandha village in Bhadrak.
6. Another paternal house at Randiasasan in Bhadrak  
7. Construction of any structure/house, if any, over the plots available at Jajpur
8. Construction of any structure/house, if any, over the plots available at Khordha
9. Construction of any structure/house, if any,  over the plots available at Cuttack
10. Residential house of his close associate located at Jajpur town in Jajpur
11. Residential house of his another associate located at Shastri Nagar in Bhubaneswar
12. Medicine store of his son located at Indradhanu  Market, Nayapalli, Bhubaneswar
