OAS officer lands in vigilance dragnet over DA case

An Odisha Administrative Service (OAS) officer has come under vigilance scanner for allegedly accumulating assets disproportionate to his known sources of income.

The OAS officer has been identified as Narayan Sahoo, who has been serving as the Block Development Officer (BDO) of Khariar in Nuapada district. 

The sleuths of Odisha Vigilance conducted simultaneous raids at five places linked to Sahoo following allegations of acquisition of disproportionate assets by him. 

The vigilance teams comprising three DSPs, 10 inspectors, four ASIs and other staff are carrying out the raids in Nuapada and Bolangir districts. 

The Following Places are Being Raided: 

(1) Residential house located at the backside of Vatika Hotel, Sadar P.S. Road Bolangir.

(2) Parental house of Sri Sahoo at village Kusmel, P.S- Loisingha, Dist: Bolangir.

(3) His office chamber at Panchayat Samiti Office, Khariar, Dist:-Nuapada.

(4) His residential Govt. Quarter located at Khariar, Dist:-Nuapada.
 
(5) The residential house of his relative at Bidighat under Sadar Block, Dist:-Bolangir.
