NIRF Ranking 2024: 3 Odisha institutions in country’s top 100 overall list

The Ministry of Education on Monday announced the ‘India Rankings-2024’ under the National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF). In the Overall Category, three institutions from Odisha are among the top 100 higher educational institutions in the country. 

With 60.73 per cent scores, Siksha ‘O’ Anusandhan has got 24th position, followed by Kalinga Institute of Industrial Technology and National Institute of Technology, Rourkela in 28th and 34th positions with 59.94 per cent and 57.04 per cent score respectively. 

Similarly, in the University Category, Siksha ‘O’ Anusandhan and Kalinga Institute of Industrial Technology have secured 14th and 15th positions respectively. In the Engineering Category, National Institute of Technology, Rourkela and Siksha ‘O’ Anusandhan have got 19th and 26th positions respectively.

“This year we feel proud because we have secured 14th position in the University Category and 24th position in the Overall Category. We are also placed in 26th position in the Engineering Category. We have also got the 21st position in the Medical Science Category, and the 9th position in the Dental Science and Law Categories. In Management Science and Research Categories, we have secured 62nd and 50th positions respectively,” said Prof Pradipta Kumar Nanda, Vice Chancellor of Siksha ‘O’ Anusandhan. 

Notably, IIT Madras has bagged the top position in the Engineering Category for the sixth time in a raw.
