New day, new Odisha govt officer under Vigilance scanner; massive raids underway

Vigilance sleuths on Friday conducted simultaneous raids at several places linked to Kendrapara Additional Civil Supplies Officer (ACSO) on the charges of amassing movable and immovable properties disproportionate to his known source of income.

The raids that began as early as 4 am this morning are currently underway in at least five places belonging to Additional Supply Officer Pradeep Kumar Mohapatra. The teams comprising 4 DSPs, one Assistant Commandant, and 5 inspectors are conducting the raids. 

As per the search warrant issued by the Cuttack Vigilance court, the Vigilance team is conducting raids at his residential house in Cuttack Kalyani Nagar, his office at Kendrapara, 2-storey building at Lingipur, Bhubaneswar, his ancestral house in Cuttack’s Nuapada, and a relative’s house in Cuttack in Kalyani Nagar.

Important documents, bank statements, and other papers were reportedly seized during the raid.

Till the last report came in, the raids were underway and efforts were on to trace more movable and immovable properties illegally possessed by the Kendrapara Additional Supplies Officer.
