The surrounding area of Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose birthplace museum at Odia Bazaar in Cuttack is fast changing after remaining neglected for many years.

Following a directive from the Odisha government, various infrastructure works for its development have started.

As per reports, the historic place is being given a major facelift in joint collaboration between the Cuttack Municipal Corporation (CMC) and the Cuttack Development Authority (CDA).

The CDA is carrying out infra development at a cost of Rs 50 crore on 6 acres of land.

A yoga centre, a children's park, a food centre, a light show, and an interpretation centre on the life journey and contribution of the great freedom fighter to the freedom struggle are being developed.

The CDA has set a target to complete the project in a month.
