Linsa Pradhan
The saying ‘Where there is a will, there is a way’ has once again been proven. And this time the example is set by a girl, a resident of a nondescript village of the tribal-dominated Kandhamal district, who cracked NEET, without any coaching.
Linsa Pradhan of Garjedi village of Badabanga Panchayat under Daringbadi block is now pursuing MBBS at MKCG Medical College and Hospital, Berhampur.
The journey so far was not a cakewalk for Linsa whose father is a teacher and mother, a housewife.
She said after the completion of Plus II, she is determined to be a doctor. Backed by a strong determination, she started her preparation for the set goal.
“I struggled a lot. I had to divide my time between doing household chores and studying. I was denoting four to five hours to watch lectures on YouTube and five to six hours for self-study. I would watch many a lecture on Physics, Chemistry and Biology and prepare notes. I had to find out time for revision,” said a visibly delighted Linsa.
“From my Plus II days, I wanted to be a doctor. But I didn’t know how to become a doctor. When I started watching YouTube videos on my mobile phone, things started to transpire and I knew everything about the preparations,” she added.
