Narrow escape for passengers of Jharsuguda-Gondia train as electric wire snaps

The Jharsuguda-Gondia passenger train escaped a major tragedy at Jharsuguda railway station. Sources said that an overhead electrical wire snapped after the train came in contact while it was approaching the Platform Number 2.

Panic gripped the passengers after they heard a loud noise following the wire breakage.  Luckily, no injuries or casualty was reported in the mishap.

Railway officials responded swiftly and undertook an immediate repair work. Their efficient handling allowed the train to resume service after a delay of approximately two and a half hours.

Passengers were informed and reassured by the prompt attention of the railway staff, further highlighting the importance of safety measures within Indian Railways, ensuring minimal disruption to passengers despite the incident.
