Two women leaders of the BJP and BJD were found involved in a Twitter war over the high profile murder case of Cabinet Minister Naba Das.

While BJD MLA Barsha Singh Bariha slammed Opposition BJP for being insensitive towards the bereaved family members of Naba Das, National Vice-President of BJP Yuva Morcha, Arpita Aparajita Badajena alleged ruling-party members’ involvement in a few murder and other cases in the State.

Directing her series of tweets towards Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan, Bariha wrote, “Dharmendra Pradhan Sir, following the death of Naba Kishore Das, some leaders of your party are trying to tarnish the image of Naba Das which is not at all acceptable in our Hindu tradition and Odia culture.”

“When my father died, some leaders of State BJP also tried to defame him like this. They also targeted me by spreading rumours about my character and marriage. Though I requested them to refrain from it, they continued the attack intentionally. It hurt me and my family deeply,” tweeted Bariha.

“Then I had requested you to ask your party leaders to refrain from spreading these kinds of rumours. But, probably you remained silent intentionally. It hurt me deeply,” she further wrote adding that attack on late Naba Kishore Das must have been hurting his daughter and other family members.

“I request you not to be silent and support them indirectly. Please ask your party leaders to refrain themselves from giving these kinds of bad remarks about a deceased person,” she wrote.

Meanwhile, responding to Barsha’s tweet, Badajena wrote, “Your allegations against our leaders are baseless. Our party doesn’t have the culture to attack anybody individually. Before tweeting, you must have asked about it to the person who has prepared the tweets for you.”

“Why Mamita Meher from Kalahandi was murdered? A minister of your party is involved in it or not? The murderer is roaming freely outside and the investigation has gone directionless. State Mass Education Minister’s involvement in Dharmendra Sahu’s murder case is true or false? Why Tirtol MLA Bijay Shankar Das is not coming to the Assembly? Why your government is not giving justice to Somalika Das?” questioned Badajena.
