Naba Das murder case: Crime Branch uncovers details about airlift operation of late minister at Jhar

Intensifying its reinvestigation into the sensational murder of BJD leader and Minister Naba Das, a team from the Odisha Crime Branch reached Jharsuguda and investigated as part of the ongoing probe. The move from the probing agency came after it recorded the statements of Naba Das’ family members on Tuesday.

According to sources, the investigation aims to uncover details about the airlift operation that transported Naba Das to Bhubaneswar after he was shot.

Officials are examining crucial aspects, including the exact time of the airlift, how it was executed, and who accompanied the minister during the critical moments, sources said, adding that all details surrounding the airlift have been thoroughly scrutinized.

Statement of Das’ Family Members Recorded

Earlier today, the Crime Branch started re-investigation into the high-profile murder case by recording the statements of family members. A two-member team from the Crime Branch reached Naba Das’ residence in Sarbahal in Jharsuguda and recorded the statements of Naba Das’ son Vishal Das, daughter Dipali Das, and wife Minati Das.

Odisha CM to Meet Late Minister's Wife

Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Majhi will meet Minati Das, wife of former minister late Naba Das at 5PM on Wednesday at the Lok Seva Bhavan in Bhubaneswar. This meeting comes after the family of Naba Das requested an appointment with the CM in connection with the investigation into the minister’s murder.
