A law student reportedly died after falling from the eighth floor of Chandrama Apartment under Kharvel Nagar police limits in Bhubaneswar on Sunday night.

The deceased has been identified as Aniraj Mansa Tudu, a Law student from Ganga Nagar area in the city.

According to sources, Tudu’s family used to live in the apartment in the past and now shifted to Ganga Nagar. Tudu was living in the University hostel in Cuttack.

However, it is still unclear under what circumstances he went to the eighth floor of the apartment and fell from there leading to his death, sources informed.

Two youths reportedly went to the apartment in search of Tudu which further deepened the mystery.

On being informed about the incident, Kharvel Nagar police reached the spot and launched an investigation by registering an unnatural death case.

Sources said police are probing the case from various angles like why Tudu went to the apartment, who did he want to meet and did he fall off his own or someone pushed him? The police are reportedly examining the CCTV footage of the apartment.

Meanwhile, Tudu’s last Instagram post has surfaced which reads, “Sorry for the promises I couldn’t/wouldn’t be able to keep. Just consider me a bad and/or a weird memory, and move on. It was what it was. See you guys on the flip side!”

The police have sent the body of Tudu for post-mortem and further investigation into the matter is on.
