BJP National Vice President and Kendrapara MP Baijayant Panda took time out of his busy schedule on Friday and enjoyed a cup of hot tea at Sumit Tea stall at Ambagan in Rourkela.

The Parliamentarian was in Rourkela for his party’s membership drive. All throughout the day, he attended programmes organised at different places in the town.

In the evening, he, Raghunathpali MLA Durga Charan Tanti and other leaders were seen at Sumit Tea stall, enjoying every sip from their cups. Besides sharing pleasantries, the leaders discussed different topics over tea.

The BJP National Vice President said that during the programmes he came to know about Sumit and his struggle from the local leaders and was happy to meet him.

“During our membership drive programmes here, all talked about Sumit. When I met Sumit, I felt happy because what he is today is because of his hard labour,” he added.

Sumit was also equally delighted to have Baijayant Panda at his stall.

“Sir came to Sumit tea and enjoyed my tea. It gave me immense pleasure. I can’t forget the moment in my lifetime,” said a visually delighted Sumit.

Regarding the development of Rourkela, Panda said, “A lot of plans are there for Rourkela. This city has given employment opportunities to our Odia brothers and sisters. In the coming days, there will be more opportunities when the industrial units will expand.”

Sharing his experience, Raghunathpali MLA Durga Charan Tanti said, “It was a wonderful experience to have tea with party National Vice President Baijayant Panda at Ambagan in Rourkela. It was really a wonderful experience.”
