The Mayurbhanj district administration held a mock drill at Ranibandha temporary helipad on Tuesday ahead of President Droupadi Murmu’s visit to the district on May 4 (Thursday).

The mock drill was conducted to prepare for a smooth and uneventful visit of the President to the district.

Speaking on the preparations, Mayurbhanj Collector, Vinit Bhardwaj said, “The President is visiting Mayurbhanj district on May 4. She will stay here till May 6. She has several programmes in the district for which all the preparations including the security arrangements have been done.”

“I hope, this will be a successful and uneventful visit to our district,”

As per the schedule, President Droupadi Murmu will reach Badampahar helipad from where she will go to Pahadpur on May 4, 2023. Later, she is likely to attend various programmes in Rairangpur. On May 5, Murmu is likely to visit the Similipal National Park and later Baripada.

In Baripada, she will attend the convocation of Maharaja Sriram Chandra Bhanja Deo University on May 6 before winding up her visit.
